Nature Area update
This idea has been in the ether for over a decade and it is finally coming to fruition, although it is expected to take many years to mature.
The site already has a large number of animal inhabitants, but this has been surpressed by the density of the ground cover and the lack of light.
We are slowly addressing all these concerns by enhancing the marshy areas and developing the pond, clearing some brash to produce a meadow area and planting of many indigenous trees and shrubs.
There will be hides to look over the river and ponds where you should be able to see Kingfishers for example and there will be pond dipping for groups and discreet picnic areas.
This will not be the same as Birdland and you will have to be patient to observe the many species of bird, insect etc. and we will give you as much information as we can to identify and understand the area.
