Our latest new arrival is the Tawny Frogmouth a very unusual looking member of the Nightjar family from Australia. This male bird arrived from London Zoo and we are now looking for an appropriate female.

We are expecting some more Vulturine Guninea Fowl, Temminck's Tragopan ( a pheasant species) and another Kookaburra. The keepers have also become surrogate mothers to several abandoned chicks. reuben and Chris are rearing a White-faced Scops Owl each and the birds are being trained for educational visitor displays. rachel is rearing a Military Macaw chick that was hatched in the incubator after the parents deserted the egg. This bird will also be used for future 'Close Encounter Diplays' at birdland.

We already have chicks from the Rhea, Crowned Plover, Bronze-wing Pigeon, Azure-winged Magpie, Desert Finch, Turtle Dove, Red-fronted Macaw and  many more.

We are still waiting for a King Penguin egg in the incubator that looks viable, White-naped Crane are on eggs, Scaled Quail, Crowned Plovers and we also have eggs from our Corn Snakes and Bearded Lizards.

Marshmouth Reserve - images of a couple of recent visitors to the area many  other insects have inculded the Horntail Sawfly , the Southern Hawker Dragonfly with many species of birds and plants.
